Ninth Avenue International Food Festival and Street Fair 2010

The Ninth Avenue International Food Festival and Street Fair in May has become a favorite weekend for New Yorkers, as well as tourists since it began in 1973. As in the years past, from 37th Street to 57th Street, Ninth Avenue closed to cars last weekend and the festival took over. The ethnic diversity of New York City makes this food festival really unique. It celebrates the joys of ethnicity through food and entertainment. This festival is also a fabulous expression of the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood, offering an eclectic global smorgasbord of national and regional cuisine. Outside vendors also participate in this festival.

"Outside vendors also participate in this festival."

Isn't that a bit of denial? Probably 98% of the vendors are professional fair vendors, not local stores or community groups. The fair is getting worse every year.
